Festive Fused Glass 2026. It is the season to sparkle!
Festive Fused Glass Taster – Half day (2.5hrs) – £45
A lovely festive workshop, a fun introduction into the magical world of fused glass. In the studio you will have access to an exciting range of top quality materials and equipment; coloured frit powders, jewels, stringers, confetti, millefiori, sparkly glitter flakes, and stencils to create patterns and designs. This class does not involve glass cutting.
This workshop is ideal for beginners and mini crafters who are keen to learn the basics of fused glass and enjoy a few festive hours making and creating. Your beautiful glass pieces can be Christmas themed or suitable for all year round. You can treasure your creations, or give them away as lovely handmade Christmas gifts…. If you can bear to part with them!
What will I make?
- A glass coaster or glass panel. (Wooden display stands or glass tealights are available for displaying the glass panel – £7)
- A glass bird.
- A dichroic glass pendant/brooch/keyring. (Make earrings for an extra £5 for silver hooks)
What is included?
- All glass materials and kiln firing.
- Festive sweet treats, teas, real coffee and hot chocolate.
I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters, couples, families and friends who wish to spend some quality creative time together. Lots of participants come on their own and enjoy meeting friendly, new people.
The workshops are run from my light and airy studio on Thornber Business Park in the rural setting of Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighbouring town to Hebden Bridge in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. The Calder Valley is a great place to visit or to stay for the weekend. Hebden Bridge is a quirky town filled with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is well known for its exciting art, craft and alternative music scene. It is also a great place if you enjoy nature, walking and exploring the countryside.
