Description

Beginners Fused Glass Workshop – 10.30am – 4pm – £85 per person.

Crafts in the Valley offers a range of Fused Glass and Textile Workshops at the Crafts in the Valley Studio in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.

In the Beginner’s Fused Glass workshop you will learn how to score and cut glass to make a hanging star, you will also create a coaster and a slump dish, free-standing arch or panel, plus you will make a set of dichroic glass jewellery combining two pieces of jewellery – pendant, brooch, keyring, ring, earrings, cuff links, you decide. You will hand-decoupage a jewellery box to keep your beautiful sparkly jewels in!

This workshop is ideal for those who fancy a relaxing and peaceful day of creativity. It is a fantastic workshop experience, which allows participants to be introduced to the wonderful world of glass fusing. The techniques used are easy to pick up and you will create a range of beautiful glass items that can be treasured or given away as special gifts.

In the studio you will have access to an exciting range of top quality materials and equipment; coloured frit powders, bubble powder, metals for entrapment, jewels, stringers, dichroic glass, stencils and much more!

I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters, couples, families and friends who wish to spend some quality creative time together. Lots of participants come on their own and enjoying meeting friendly, new people.  I host hen dos, crafty parties, retirement parties and family and friend gatherings.

The workshops are run from the light and airy Crafts in the Valley studio in Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighbouring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley. The Calder Valley is a great place to visit or make a weekend of it if you are travelling far. Hebden Bridge is a quirky town filled with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is well known for its exciting art, craft and alternative music scene. It is also a great place if you enjoy nature, walking and exploring the countryside.
