Description

Makers Monday Fused Glass Workshop.

The Makers sessions are a fantastic opportunity to improve your knowledge and understanding of fused glass techniques and make a range of glass items of your choice. The workshop is £25 to attend, arrive anytime after 10am, and make for part, or all of the day. The workshop times are flexible so you can attend at times that suit you best. This workshop is suitable for those who have completed my Beginner’s Fused Glass workshop or have some experience of fused glass. The session is student led, you will be give a “Fused Glass Menu” which lists a range of items you can choose to make and the cost of each item (see below).

The Makers Monday sessions allow students the freedom to make what they want, and to experiment with new and exciting ideas. During the course you will have access to a range of materials and equipment (some of which are only shared with my regular guests!). The studio is equipped with top quality materials; frits, bubble power, jewels, stringers, glass-line pens, stencils, screen-prints, moulds, bullseye and dichroic glass.

Previous students have created some stunning glass-work, and have returned to continue making and creating. Within reason, anything is possible! Bowls, coasters, waves, candle holders, lanterns, platters, glass pictures, bunting, wind chimes, slump vases, arches, splash-back tiles, jewellery….. The possibilities are endless! Beware though, fused glass is a highly addictive craft.

The Makers Monday sessions are run from the light and airy Crafts in the Valley studio in Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighboring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley.

Depending on the size or nature of your project, some additional charges may be added. To discuss project ideas and the suitability of the course, please email Melanie at craftsinthevalley@gmail.com or phone 07779041237.
